NEXT LEVEL CLASSES

Every Sunday

Details

Sunday school is back and better than ever! Eastside is offering adult bible study classes each Sunday morning from 9-10am. All are invited and childcare is provided. Children's church is during the 10:30 worship service.

This Fall we're offering three classes to equip and encourage.

STORY OF THE BIBLE with Lynn Woodward.
God speaks to us in the Bible, but it's not always easy to understand.  Scripture uses many types of literary styles, written over hundreds of years, to ancient peoples. Though we often catch glimpses of it, we don’t necessarily see the big picture of how it all fits together.  And how we can apply its lessons and truths to our daily lives. This class will help us understand the Bible as a whole and unlock so much more of what God is saying in His wonderful Book.  Seeing the bigger picture will help us love His Word and live out our faith in Christ.

APOLOGETICS: MAKING A CASE FOR YOUR FAITH with Reed Willis.
"Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect.” 1 Peter 3:15  Do you feel prepared to answer the tough questions aimed at Christianity? Through exploring the historical, scientific, and philosophical evidence for the truth of Christianity, we’ll bolster our knowledge and equip ourselves to answer hard questions and engage in challenging conversations. All for the sake of living our faith.

STUDY OF 1 PETER with Steve Cox.
Peter writes to first century believers dealing with a society in decline – morally and economically – and a struggling secular government that is increasingly hostile to Christianity. Followers of Jesus are facing growing negative sentiment from multiple segments of society. Sound familiar? How are we as Christians to relate to our government and our neighbors? How are we to deal with suffering and hardship? How can we truly live out our faith in modern society? Under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, Peter provides practical answers to help us discern how to live in obedience to Christ today.
